His Excellency Mohammed Al Madani, President of TAGMOA, Opens Franchise India 2025 with a Visionary Call for UAE–India Collaboration
New Delhi, India – 17 May 2025
At the 21st International Franchise & Retail Show – Franchise India 2025, His Excellency Mohammed Al Madani, President of TAGMOA – The Association of Franchise & Trademarks in the UAE and Middle East, and Chairman of Al Madani Group of Companies LLC, delivered a powerful keynote under the theme:
“India–UAE: Building Business Bridges, Fueling Global Growth.”
Held at Yashobhoomi (IICC), New Delhi, the event brings together leading global and regional players in franchising, retail, and entrepreneurship.
In his inaugural address, His Excellency highlighted the growing strategic partnership between India and the UAE, reinforced by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in 2022, which has already driven over $85 billion in bilateral trade, with ambitions to exceed $100 billion by 2027.
“The UAE has emerged as a global launchpad for Indian brands looking to expand internationally, offering a high-income consumer base, world-class infrastructure, and a business-friendly environment,” His Excellency remarked, citing the 30% year-on-year growth in Indian franchises entering the UAE.
He further emphasized that India is a high-potential market for UAE-based brands, with over 4,600 franchisors and 200,000 franchisees and a projected market size of USD 140 billion by 2027. His Excellency underlined the synergy between the two nations in sectors such as F&B, fashion, wellness, technology, and retail innovation.
To solidify this cooperation, His Excellency proposed the launch of the India–UAE Franchise & Retail Exchange, a joint platform designed to:

Facilitate skill development,

And empower youth and women entrepreneurs across both nations.
“Let us turn this corridor into a highway of shared prosperity,” he concluded.
“We are not just building business bridges—we are shaping a global model of innovation, inclusion, and economic impact.”
