TAGMOA Delegation Visits IFFCO Headquarters to Explore Franchise and Trademark Collaboration Opportunities
The Association of Franchise & Trademarks UAE & Middle East (TAGMOA), led by its Chairman, conducted an official visit to the headquarters of IFFCO Group in the United Arab Emirates. The delegation included representatives from the UAE Restaurant Group and Etihad Airways. The purpose of the visit was to explore potential avenues of collaboration to develop the franchise and trademark sector within the UAE and the broader region.
During the visit, a joint coordination meeting was held between the visiting delegation and IFFCO’s management. The meeting focused on identifying opportunities to support local brands and convert them into scalable franchise models that could expand regionally and internationally. Discussions also covered the development of new concepts in the food and service sectors, as well as launching training and operational initiatives that would enhance the franchise ecosystem in the country.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties expressed a mutual interest in forming a strategic partnership aimed at implementing pilot projects and specialized programs that would enable national brands to expand and achieve sustainable growth.
🔹 Brief Historical Overview of IFFCO Group
IFFCO (International Foodstuffs Company) was established in 1975 in the United Arab Emirates. Its roots trace back to 1865 when it began as the Allana enterprise. IFFCO launched its first meat freezing facilities in 1981, followed by the introduction of the ‘Igloo’ ice cream brand in 1986, and ‘Tiffany’ biscuits in 1989. It later expanded its portfolio with food brands such as ‘Hayat’ and ‘Noor’.
Over the past decades, the company has grown internationally, establishing operations in Egypt, Pakistan, Tunisia, Oman, and others. It also launched major industrial facilities in the UAE, such as the ‘Tiffany Tower’ in Dubai. Additionally, IFFCO has entered new sectors including veterinary pharmaceuticals and 100% plant-based production.
Today, IFFCO stands as one of the region’s leading industrial groups, managing a wide portfolio of brands that serve more than 100 countries worldwide.
