The Board of Trustees of TAGMOA held its scheduled virtual meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Al Madani, Chairperson of the Board. The meeting brought together board members, organizational representatives, and the operational team to review strategic progress and key achievements from the first quarter of 2025.

During the session, TAGMOA highlighted several significant milestones, reflecting its continued commitment to advancing the franchise ecosystem across the UAE and beyond:

1. Formation of the Halal Franchise Council
   A dedicated body focused on expanding and standardizing Halal practices within franchising.

2. Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Maldives
   Strengthening international cooperation and mutual franchise development initiatives.

3. Global Discount Programs for Members
   Collaborations aimed at securing exclusive benefits and savings for TAGMOA members.

4. Alliance with Sharjah SME ‘RUWAD’
   Joint initiatives to support entrepreneurship and franchise growth among SMEs.

5. Launch of FranchisePulse – A Year-Round Learning Platform
   An educational series designed to empower franchise professionals through ongoing training and development.

6. Establishment of Specialized Committees and Councils

   • Franchise Companies and Trademark Council

   • Halal Franchise Council

   • Brand Committee focusing on key sectors including jewelry, fashion, textiles, beverages, F&B, and perfumes.

7. Hosting of the Global Franchise Forum (GFF) – February 11–13, 2025
   Organized in collaboration with the Indian Small Business & Franchise Association (ISFA), the forum attracted global stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and strengthen international ties.

8. Participation in the Grand Opening of CHARLEYS’ 50th Branch
   Celebrating a landmark achievement in franchise expansion and brand growth.

9. Engagement in Gulfood 2025 & Signing of Strategic Agreements – February 17, 2025
   Key partnerships formalized with:

   • Korean Franchise Association – advancing franchise development initiatives.

   • Russian Halal Center – boosting Halal compliance and brand integration.

   • Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture – reinforcing agri-food and franchise collaboration.

10. Franchise Excellence Wednesday Workshops – Launched February 19, 2025
    As part of the FranchisePulse initiative, this workshop series will be held throughout the year to enhance best practices and industry standards.

11. Middle East Regional Alliance Initiative
    A regional strategy aimed at uniting diverse markets to collectively address franchise expansion and regulatory alignment.

12. Strategic Roundtable with WorldFirst – March 12, 2025
    Held at Etihad Airlines HQ in Abu Dhabi, this high-level dialogue focused on innovative solutions to strengthen market entry strategies, optimize supply chain processes, enhance payment systems, and overcome operational challenges.
