TAGMOA Participates in National SME Forum Panel Discussions in Dubai
Dubai, UAE | 27–28 January 2026
TAGMOA – Tajamo’ Franchise & Trademarks Association Coalition participated in a series of high-level panel discussions during the National SME Forum, held on 27–28 January 2026 at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai, reaffirming its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, strengthening national brands, and advancing the franchise ecosystem across the UAE and the wider region.
TAGMOA’s contribution focused on identifying structural opportunities to enhance SME participation in public-sector markets, particularly through more adaptive government-procurement frameworks that align regulatory requirements with the growth trajectories of emerging enterprises.
Addressing Government Procurement Challenges
During the sessions, TAGMOA highlighted the practical barriers faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing government tenders, including pre-qualification requirements, financial guarantees, long contracting cycles, and competitive asymmetries with larger corporations.
Representatives emphasized that sustainable SME integration requires more than preferential allocation mechanisms. It depends on procurement innovation, supplier-development programs, phased onboarding models, and tailored financing structures that allow SMEs to scale responsibly within public-sector supply chains.
Advancing Intellectual Property Protection
TAGMOA also underscored the central role of intellectual property protection in enabling franchise expansion and brand sustainability. The discussions emphasized the importance of trademark registration, structured brand-usage rights within franchise agreements, and safeguarding commercial identity against infringement—critical elements in building investor confidence and facilitating regional and international growth.
From Dialogue to Policy Development
TAGMOA’s participation called for translating panel dialogue into implementable policy measures, including:
-
Establishing SME-focused government-procurement frameworks
-
Streamlining qualification and onboarding procedures
-
Enhancing access to performance guarantees and financing instruments
-
Expanding legal awareness regarding intellectual-property rights
-
Connecting emerging brands with franchise-investment platforms
The Coalition reiterated that such forums play a vital role in strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors and in shaping competitive, resilient business environments aligned with national economic-development priorities.
Commitment to Future Engagement
TAGMOA concluded its participation by reaffirming its commitment to supporting national brands, expanding franchise systems across the region, and partnering with government authorities, investors, and industry leaders to introduce practical initiatives that improve market access for SMEs, protect innovation, and promote sustainable economic growth.
