The Franchise Association “TAGMOA” and the UAE Restaurant Group held a strategic meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2025, to discuss collaborative efforts in supporting trademarks and addressing industry challenges within the food and beverage sector. Key attendees included Mr. Damian Conway, Advisory Board Member of UAE Restaurant Group and Initiator & Administrator of the Dubai Restaurants Group on WhatsApp, as well as Mr. George Kunnappally, Managing Director of Nando’s, Superbrands UAE Council Member, and Advisory Board Member of UAE Restaurant Group.

The UAE Restaurant Group, an organization dedicated to fostering growth and innovation through collaboration and advocacy in the United Arab Emirates’ food and beverage industry, brought valuable insights to the discussion. The meeting served as a platform for industry experts to identify opportunities for enhancing partnerships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local suppliers, while focusing on addressing financial transaction challenges and finding suitable solutions for the sector.

The attendees also explored potential collaboration on the Maldives Velana International Airport expansion project. This ambitious undertaking aims to increase the airport’s capacity, allowing it to handle more inbound tourists and flights, thereby contributing to the Maldives’ thriving tourism industry.
