Mohammad Al Madani is a visionary entrepreneur and accomplished executive with a dynamic career spanning over four decades in engineering, retail, franchising, and entrepreneurship. A graduate of the University of Tulsa with a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering in 1979, he began his career with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and later with Dubai Petroleum Company, before transitioning into specialized reservoir simulation projects at Conoco Phillips in the USA.

In parallel with his engineering career, Mohammad’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Al Shafei General Trading Est. in 1981, which marked the beginning of his business journey. Over the years, he has successfully launched ventures across various sectors, including retail, fashion, engineering consultancy, F&B, and franchising. His business portfolio includes flagship brands like Levi’s®, Dockers®, and Hang Ten®, and successful franchise operations such as Charley’s Grilled Subs and The Bagel Bar Coffee House.

As the founder of Al Madani Group of Companies, he has built a legacy of innovation and excellence, managing over 51 outlets and collaborating with international brands like Mustang, Carolina Boix, and Catimini. Mohammad’s expertise in franchising earned him the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation from the International Franchise Association in 2016, reinforcing his status as a leader in the global franchising community.

A passionate advocate for cultural preservation, he launched Kandura Gents Tailoring and Al Barza Restaurant & Café, promoting Emirati heritage through traditional tailoring and authentic cuisine. His ventures reflect a deep commitment to blending tradition with modernity, creating unique customer experiences.

Recognized for his contributions to business and entrepreneurship, Mohammad Al Madani was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the Malaysian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship and Business, University Malaysia Kelantan, in 2024. His extensive experience and dedication to mentoring future business leaders continue to inspire and shape the entrepreneurial landscape in the UAE and beyond.
